Does YouTube Sound Works But Video Doesn’t: Fix It With This Guide

You may have heard of errors regarding YouTube not loading or the sound not working. But what about when YouTube sound works but video doesn’t? Although this may seem confusing, not to worry, as we are here to help. With these easy fixes, you will be able to watch (and hear) your videos once again.

If YouTube sound works, but video doesn’t, there are several potential problems. But don’t worry, there are plenty of solutions and ways to troubleshoot. Sometimes videos have issues with loading correctly, but it’s often fixed with a simple refresh of the page. But if this doesn’t work, here are some different methods to consider.

Clearing your cookies and cache on YouTube

Another method to fixing this is to clear your cookies and cache from your browsing history, and this will often improve the situation and help a YouTube video play.

If a YouTube video doesn’t play, a standard method is to sign out of YouTube and use YouTube as a guest. You should be able to resign into YouTube if videos work on the guest login.

    Check your internet connection

Always be sure to check if your Internet connection has dropped without notice. If this happens, YouTube videos may be partially loaded from when you last had an Internet connection. Check that you are connected to the Internet. Alternatively, using a public Wi-Fi connection may be busy with other users so that you could experience problems streaming content such as YouTube videos.

    YouTube video won’t play.

YouTube offers a wide range of video qualities to play at, ranging from 144p to 4k. If your YouTube videos don’t play, try changing to a lower rate first. If your connection isn’t suited to play high-quality video, it will struggle. It will also look like the video won’t play if it can’t play high-resolution video.

Some Internet connections with a lower bandwidth may have issues playing higher resolution content. Double-check what quality your videos are set to play at; adjusting the rate can fix videos that don’t play.

If you are concerned about your device that’s stopping the video from playing, try loading the same video on a different device or a different web browser. This is why you will be able to see if it’s your device experiencing issues or not.

Are you having TikTok issues? Here are some of the problems that you may be facing today.

YouTube sound works but video error.

If you are getting a Youtube video error, but the sound works, the problem may reside within your web browser. Reopening and closing your web browser does not work. Try loading the video into a new browser. You may find that YouTube plays in a different browser if you don’t have another browser installed on the web. Here are some to try:

    • Google Chrome
    • Microsoft Edge
    • Safari
    • Opera

Is my antivirus stopping me from watching YouTube videos?

Antivirus software can interfere with your Internet connection. Check what your antivirus is blocking in case it is blocking features on the web.

If your antivirus does not trust YouTube, the YouTube video errors may persist. Try clearing your browser’s cache and cookies.

Furthermore, if you’re still having antivirus issues, you can try disabling hardware acceleration. On Google Chrome, click the three dots icon in the top right-hand corner. Click the drop-down menu, find settings. On the left-hand side, find ‘advanced.’ Under ‘system,’ you’ll see ‘Use hardware acceleration when available.’. Make sure that option is not selected, and this option may be preventing YouTube videos from playing correctly.

Why am I getting a black screen on YouTube?

YouTube sound works but video doesn't
Photo by Jakob Owens on Unsplash

Sometimes browser extensions or plugins can cause issues for YouTube videos. If the problem persists, try opening YouTube in a private browser. Whether the black screen is just stopping video or if the sound isn’t working either will shed more light on the issue.

This means that you won’t be signed into YouTube, and your browser will not have plugins enabled, and if the YouTube video plays, the problem may be an extension or plugin you have enabled.

Alternatively, you can try opening YouTube into another browser to see if videos play this way. Sometimes the browser you are using may be the problem why YouTube videos won’t play properly. If your browser is out of date, make sure it’s updated regularly.

If you are unsure why YouTube videos aren’t playing, look to see if YouTube is down or not. You won’t be able to access Youtube properly when it’s down. Don’t worry, and it shouldn’t take long for the site to be back up and running. Problems like this can be widespread and affect almost any website.

Is Adblock stopping me from watching videos on YouTube?

Adblock can have some errors where it stops the user from viewing YouTube videos. Sometimes browser extensions can cause problems when watching videos. AdBlock sometimes won’t play YouTube videos. If your AdBlock does stop you from watching YouTube videos, there’s an easy solution.

Try disabling the Adblock just to see if the AdBlock is causing the problems, and you can easily reenable it. You may need to reinstall Adblock if it prevents you from watching YouTube videos, alternatively try another adblocking software.

Always make sure that any browser extensions are running up-to-date software. If they are outdated, this might cause problems for your web browser. Browser extensions should update automatically, but always be sure to check that they are updated.

  • YouTube Won’t Load On iPhone: How To Get It Working On Your Mobile

YouTube Won’t Load On iPhone: How To Get It Working On Your Mobile

Attempting to use YouTube on your iPhone shouldn’t be an issue, but what about when it is? Apps are prone to having problems, but what about when the issues seem to be related to your device. If you’re having issues accessing YouTube on iPhone, here are some key things to consider and how to go about fixing the YouTube won’t load on iPhone issue.

YouTube won’t load on iPhone – How to fix this?

If your iPhone has issues playing YouTube videos, there could be several solutions to this. Check your network settings first, and if you aren’t connected to the internet, the YouTube app won’t load correctly. If you go into your settings, you can reset your device’s internet connection.

To do this go into settings > general > reset. From here, you will find an option to reset network settings. This will not delete any of your data on your phone; it will just forget the network it’s connected to, so you can reconnect. If you do this, you will likely need to enter your wifi password before trying to reconnect.

YouTube won’t load on iPhone 6

Photo by Bagus Hernawan on Unsplash

Due to the age of the iPhone 6, you may assume that running apps such as video-based software may struggle. Nevertheless, YouTube should still work on an iPhone 6 as it can still run the latest iOS software. When the iOS software becomes outdated, this is when issues may occur.

If your YouTube app isn’t loading on your iPhone 6, you can try uninstalling and then reinstalling the app. When you reinstall the app, you will be downloading the latest version of the app. You may find that you have to sign in to Google again if your iPhone isn’t set up to remember who you are.

To remove an app on iPhone all you need to do is:

    • Hold down on the app icon on your home screen.
    • Eventually, it will wobble, and an ‘X’ will appear in the top right-hand corner.
    • Press the ‘X,’ and it will give you the option to delete the app.
    • To check it’s been deleted, search the app by pulling down the top bar

    Is YouTube having wifi issues?

You may be experiencing connection issues such as a slow internet connection through Wi-Fi or cell data, which make your phone unable to load YouTube. Wi-Fi signals can be very weak, or even they may be ‘congested’ with other users streaming content. When this happens, the bandwidth is taken up, and there is not enough space for your device to connect correctly.

If you have connection issues, you can disconnect other devices you don’t use around the home. If you are using a cellular data connection, try toggling it by disconnecting from the internet and then reconnecting. Reconnecting to the internet can help on occasion. Connection issues can be really common, especially on public Wi-Fi

    Is YouTube down?

If YouTube does not load on your iPhone, it could be because YouTube is down in general.

Try to search the words ‘YouTube Down’ on social media sites such as Twitter, you can find out if YouTube is down or not. If you see users commenting that YouTube does not work for them right now, likely, YouTube is down.

YouTube will be working on getting its site back up and running as soon as possible. This might help you to find some answers with any other site if it stops working unexpectedly. When YouTube goes down, it can be confusing as you may think your device is not working. Always check on social media or use an online program such as the Down Detector to see if YouTube is down.

Can’t get YouTube comments on Safari

One instant fix for a web browser that won’t load is to clear your browser’s cache. This will free up any data that your browser does not need anymore. Over time, this data will build up. This is entirely normal and happens on all devices; however, it can be beneficial to clear it regularly as it can be the cause of some issues.

Open the privacy settings on the Safari browser, open ‘privacy.’ Go to ‘Manage Website Data’ and click on ‘remove all.’ After refreshing the web browser, the comments should be visible again.  If you are signed into YouTube, try switching to a guest account if you cannot view the comments section on Safari. You should be able to switch back to your account, and the comments should show again.

    YouTube won’t load on iPad

If YouTube won’t load on your iPad, one of the first things to do is close the app. Simply pressing the home button won’t close it correctly, however. On your home screen, swipe up, and it will show all the apps you have open in preview cards. Scroll along until you find your YouTube app and swipe up. This will close the app, reopen the YouTube app and try to play a YouTube video again.

Sometimes having too many apps open at once can slow your device down. Check you don’t have too many apps open by swiping up and viewing the app cards. If you are still experiencing issues, try deleting and reinstalling the YouTube app. You will have to sign into YouTube again. However, a fresh install can help if there are issues with the app. Sometimes apps won’t update automatically on iOS devices, so make sure your apps will keep updated. Outdated versions of apps might not work as well as the current versions.

    What is YouTube shorts?

YouTube shorts is set to try rival TikTok with short bursts of content. YouTube official blog advises a new way to watch and create on YouTube is via their shorts. Just like TikTok, with YouTube shorts, you pick up your phone, shoot a video and upload it in a matter of seconds. However, the platform giant doesn’t appear to have had their shorts take off the same way as TikTok. However, if you already have a large following on YouTube, shorts are a great way to engage with your viewers while working on more significant projects.

Who is the most popular TikToker, and do they have YouTube?

Charli D’amelio is known to be TikTok’s biggest creator, with over 125 million followers so far. She also has YouTube with 9 million subscribers, so it’s safe to say she is pretty famous all round.

Whereas YouTube’s biggest star PewDiePie doesn’t appear to have a TikTok. However, this doesn’t stop him from being featured in videos, with many creators using his images/videos in their video creations.

Is TikTok or YouTube more popular?

    Tik Tok VS YouTube
    @try2benice via Twenty20

According to data from analytics firm App Annie, as of May 2021, TikTok surpassed YouTube in the US and the UK for average time spent per month on android. However, these stats do not include China, as the app is known locally as Douyin.

An additional platform that offers short videos is Instagram, with their reels being hugely popular with creators amongst the platform. Although Instagram has provided video content for a while on their stories, reels are more high quality, and fans can’t get enough of their favorite Instagram influencers.

Which platform has more watch time?

TikTok has now passed YouTube for the most watch time in most countries – however, depending on which country you are in, this may vary. Due to the platform gaining overnight popularity, it is currently the most downloaded app since 2020. Due to YouTube being a long-standing platform, it is less likely to get downloads as most users already have the app installed.

    Does Cole Sprouse have TikTok?

It’s not just your everyday person that has TikTok, and it’s also a majorly popular app amongst celebrities. With the 2020 lockdown providing ample amounts of time to just about anybody. Therefore this saw Cameo and TikTok gain immense popularity. Cole Sprouse is just one of the many ex Disney Channel actors who now create content for the platform. Some of the most celebrities who make content for the app are Dwayne Johnson, Will Smith, and Justin Bieber, who rack up massive amounts of views.

The difference between TikTok and YouTube

If you’re interested in finding the difference between both video giants, you’ve come to the right place. Here are some of the top differences between TikTok and YouTube:

    • TikTok is more fast-paced than YouTube. Due to the in-app editing software, TikTokers can create a video with just their phones in a short space of time. However, YouTubers usually require a strong setup in order to gain popularity.
    • Even if you’re new to TikTok, your content is more likely to be seen if optimized correctly, as the use of hashtags, the following page and unique content can help your content go viral.
    • YouTube is known for longer and more in-depth content, whereas TikTok is known for trends, dancing, and short bursts of video. TikTok has recently upped their video max length to 3 minutes, whereas YouTube has a limit of 12 hours.

TikTok vs YouTube, which pays more

If you’re looking to make money from a platform, YouTube is known to provide a lot higher income as TikTok doesn’t pay its creators directly. YouTube offers its creators money for clicks on videos and watch time. This is an amount decided by YouTube per minute. Although both platforms provide a space to make paid ads, YouTube is still the front runner from the platform alone.

    Conclusion

Whether you’re a massive fan of TikTok, YouTube, or both, the platforms offer a place for expression and video. Although TikTok has grown essentially overnight, YouTube has been a staple since 2005. Therefore it is unlikely that either platform will bow out of the race anytime soon.

Some key elements make up a good TikTok bio. If you’re unsure as to what these are and want to find out. Here’s how to capture the attention of people who click on your profile. Before they even view your videos! With only 80 characters for your whole bio (for reference, Instagram allows 150), you’re going to be creative with the information you include. Here are some do’s and don’ts when it comes to creating a TikTok bio.

    Sum up your TikTok account/brand

One of the unique things about TikTok is the ability to post anything, no matter who are you are. Whether you like cooking, comedy, dancing, drawing, or something completely different, include your niche in your bio.

By letting potential followers know what they’re likely to find on your page, may encourage them to follow (and stick around) due to shared interests.

    Get creative

Making a good first impression is ideal, so get creative and show off your fun side. Many TikTokers use emojis in their bio, especially if they have a lot to say. By showing what you make/do in emojis can save characters and make it easier to read.

    Don’t make it too long.

When reading a social media bio, the last thing anybody wants is an essay, so keeping your bio short encourages people to read to the end. Be sure to keep it short and sweet.

    Showcase who you are

With A-list celebrities being active on TikTok, it’s more important than ever to showcase what is unique about you. Especially on such a busy platform. Your content might be fantastic, but it may not gain the views it deserves without the right people seeing it.

Create a strong ‘call to action.’

Like most social media bios, creating a strong call to action is essential. Some examples of good ‘call to action’ in a TikTok bio include:

    • Follow me here
    • Check out my blog
    • Please find out more about my brand in my bio
    • To follow me on all of my socials

    Keep it unique and fresh

Creating a bio that is all about you, which is regularly updated, is likely to engage users of the platform as they know what to expect, and it shows you are on top of the game.

By including an action in your bio and within your posts, creates more engagement. Usually, an excellent call to action results in staying on your content, e.g., your website or another video.

Do I need a TikTok bio for followers?

You don’t need a bio to gain followers. However, having one encourages users to subscribe as they already know what to expect. An empty bio also looks like a lack of effort put into a profile, which may also put viewers off following. Even if your bio is small, it encourages followers to stick around to find out more.

Should I use hashtags in my TikTok bio?

    TikTok Bio
Photo by Jan Baborák on Unsplash

Using hashtags is a must on TikTok. Like Twitter, Instagram and similar social media sites, they provide a boost to your content. The hashtags work as a group to showcase your content to those looking to find similar content. If you’re looking for videos about hair, for example, searching for a popular hair hashtag will show you a lot of content in that sector.

If you’re unsure of hashtags, search on Top Hashtags for popular hashtags to use for your niche.

TOP TIP: Be sure not to spam hashtags, as this may come across as unprofessional, hard to read and cluttered.

What should I include in my TikTok bio

If you’re still unsure of what to put in your TikTok bio, here are some suggestions of what you should put in your bio.

    • Information about you, e.g., your name, age, etc. Whatever you feel comfortable posting.
    • What your brand is about and what viewers can expect to see, e.g. ‘dancer with interest in makeup’
    • Your call to action – here’s how you follow me or check out my link in the bio – if you’re looking to get followers on multiple platforms, use a 3rd party site such as link tree.
    • Relevant hashtags for your content/what your interests are

Whether you’re a newbie to the platform or an avid user, keeping your bio updated and fresh is important.

Are you having issues with your TikTok not working today? Here are some ways to fix this.

What not to do in your bio

If you’re unsure of what not to do in your bio, the following may be helpful:

    • Don’t directly copy another bio, be you and be unique – inspiration works too though
    • Be offensive – sharing backward views or offensive words can put people right off and make them not want to follow
    • Only rely on emojis- as much as they work well in a TikTok bio, words also fit right beside them.
  • Instagram Not Letting Me Post: Here’s How To Get Your Account Fixed

Instagram Not Letting Me Post: Here’s How To Get Your Account Fixed

Instagram is one of those social media platforms which requires attention to detail. If you are an influencer or content creator, the times in which you post are essential for your engagement. So not being able to post can be a huge issue. Equally, if you’re just trying to upload a picture to your Instagram, and it doesn’t work, trying to work out whether it’s from your side or due to Instagram. To make this less infuriating,

So for all the people who have messaged us saying Instagram is not letting me post, we have created a quick-to-follow guide in order to get your Instagram back up and running in no time.

    Instagram not letting me post
Photo by Gabrielle Henderson on Unsplash

    Instagram not letting me post

First things first, why isn’t Instagram letting you post? There are a variety of different reasons, depending on the action you are attempting to take. But here are the most common ones for trying to upload a photo to your feed.

    • Instagram server error
    • Your internet is down
    • You’ve been banned
    • Your account has been locked

Is there an Instagram server error?

This is a fairly frequent occurrence on Instagram and usually can be confirmed if you use a site such as down detector where other users of the platform report any issues, what the problems are, and if they’re fixed. It will flag a problem if the number of reports is significantly higher than the average amount.

Unfortunately, due to this being an Instagram error, there is nothing you can do about that to get it fixed. But you can regularly refresh and check to see if it’s back.

    Your internet is down

You may not release it, but your internet may be down. When you try to post an Instagram picture with no internet, you will notice that it just stays on the upload screen and doesn’t upload. Eventually, you will get an error. Try to turn off your wifi and use mobile data to upload. If this resolves it- you have a problem with your router, which can be easily rebooted. However, if it still doesn’t work with either your mobile data or your wifi, we’d recommend reporting the issue to Instagram for them to look into.

You’ve been banned, or your account is locked

If you’ve posted many comments, used a large number of hashtags in a short time, or liked a lot of photos in quick succession of each other, you may have hit an antispam filter. This can result in your account being locked for some time, meaning no further activity can be done on the account. Most account locks end pretty quickly. If you’ve been signed out and are now getting an error message, you may have had your account banned. If you find this is the case, contact Instagram support for the next steps.

Why can’t I post on Instagram from my PC

    Instagram not letting me post
Photo by Eaters Collective on Unsplash

Instagram can now be viewed by a PC/laptop. However, the app primarily wants all functions to be done via the app. Due to this, you cannot post via a PC or laptop, which can be frustrating. However, you can post via your computer if you use a scheduling app – once you’ve queued your photos via a 3rd party app – it’ll post for you at the given time. For this, you do not require the app and can do this via a PC. But sadly, you cannot upload a picture or story as you would on the mobile app.

Comments keep getting errors on Instagram

Commenting on Instagram is a great way to create engagement and build a following, but can you do it too much? The answer to this is yes. Instagram is in a constant battle trying to stop spammers, involving those who don’t mean to spam being caught up in the issue. If you are an established account, you can expect to be able to post a lot more comments than a new account. It is reported that you can comment around 400 times a day if you are an established account. With accounts being able to comment 30-60 times per hour.

Another reason you may find yourself not able to comment on Instagram is due to limits. For example, you cannot tag more than five accounts in one comment as Instagram will not be posted. However, also posting many comments with five people in each can also be flagged.

Essentially if you are doing a lot on Instagram in a short period of time, this is more likely to get you blocked.

Instagram not posted try again on Android

If you are using an Android device and see an error which states ‘ Instagram not posted try again’, it can be really frustrating, especially when you’ve planned the perfect time to post. It is likely an error with your device instead of Instagram; however, this error can occur if Instagram is down. To fix the error on your side, we’d recommend doing the following steps when receiving this error.

    Check your connection

The first place to start would be checking your network connection. If you’re on wifi and unable to post, try again on mobile data. However, if you are getting the same problem on both mobile data and wifi, head on to the next step.

Log out and back in again

Granted, you can gain access to your Instagram, head to your settings via your profile pic, then tap the three dots in the top right, scroll down and click log out. Be sure to close down the app and any other open ones before trying to reopen it and log back in. Once you’ve logged back in, attempt to post your picture again. If this doesn’t resolve your posting issue, we’d recommend clearing your cache.

    Clear cache

When it comes to clearing your cache on a mobile device, it can be a little bit confusing. But not to worry, we have the steps to help you clear your cache on Android.

    1. Go to your settings
    2. Select storage and then clean up
    3. Next, choose your junk files and click clean up. This will delete the data permanently.
    4. Following on from this, go back to settings and choose apps.
    5. Then select Instagram, followed by storage.
    6. Under storage, you should find a clear cache option. Press this.
    7. If you’re still having issues, click clear data to remove any saved data from your account.

    Update Instagram

If you’re using the latest version of Instagram, this may cause some issues with your device. Most programs are filled with bugs, and the glitch will still be present without removing these (via an update). To update Instagram, go to the Google Play Store, search for Instagram, followed by an update. Once you’ve done this, your Instagram should completely reboot itself and allow you to access your content once again.

Not able to post an Instagram story

If you regularly post to your Instagram story, you may already be aware of the bug as users have reported it frequently. So how do you know if you’ve been affected by the Instagram bug? You come to upload your story as you usually would, and you are greeted with an error- you’ve got an internet connection, so what is the problem? Here are some ways to troubleshoot the Instagram bug.

    Updates

As with all apps, if you’re running an outdated version, you can expect the app not to work as it should. Head on to your app store and make sure the latest version is installed. If not, close down the tab and allow the app to update and reopen before trying again.

You’ve violated the terms of Instagram

Check your emails for notification from Instagram that you’ve violated their terms of service. Sometimes Instagram can impose a story posting ban if they’ve been used inappropriately.

    Try uploading a different story

If your story has stickers or GIFs on, try upload one without. If it posts, it’s likely an issue with that specific content as opposed to your device or account.

Use a second account if you have one

If you have a second account, now is the time to utilize it. Try to post the story from that account, or if you don’t have a second one, ask a friend to post a story and see if they’re able to do so. If they’re unable to, it is likely to be an error on Instagram’s side. Therefore you will be unable to do anything about this, sadly.

If none of the above troubleshooting works and you’re still unable to fix this issue, it is probably out of your control. Allow Instagram time to fix the error, and if you don’t notice a change after 12-24 hours, reach out to their support desk for further information.

When trying to post to Instagram, unless you’re taking the picture then and there, you will need to grant access to Instagram to view your camera roll. You may have declined access to this in the past.

To grant access on an iPhone, you need to head to the settings cog, then scroll down to Instagram, click, and you should see photos, with three options selected photos, all photos of none. Unless it is chosen as all photos, you’re likely to experience similar issues.

For an Andriod device, head to settings, then privacy followed by photos, and again grant access to Instagram for this.

If Instagram not letting me post is still an issue for you, please get in touch with us to assist further with this issue.

  • If You Follow Someone On Tiktok Will They Know: Find Out Here

If You Follow Someone On Tiktok Will They Know: Find Out Here

TikTok is a platform that has changed the internet in a big way. It’s often referred to as a replacement for the 2016 app Vine. However, thanks to lockdowns worldwide and the variety of content on the platform, TikTok is a sensation. With over 2 billion users on the site, you’re always going to find something to watch. Like all other social media platforms, there are ways to keep up with the content you enjoy regularly. TikTok has a like feature alongside a follow button. Building followers on TikTok might seem complicated, but if you go viral, you can become an internet sensation overnight.

If you’ve just joined TikTok and wonder how the following system works on the platform, you’ve come to the right place. Whether you want to know if you follow someone on TikTok will they know? How to make your account private or how to gain followers, we have the answers right here.

If you follow someone on TikTok, will they know?

If you follow someone on TikTok will they know? The answer to this is yes. TikTok provides users with the info of who followed them, just as you would with any other platform. If they have their notifications turned on they’re more likely to notice than if they don’t. You can also view your followers on your profile, and however, if you have a large number of followers, it may be more challenging to find out who exactly followed you via this method.

Note: if you follow someone by accident and unfollow straight away, the notification may still appear.

Can you find out who viewed your TikTok video?

Unfortunately, you cannot determine who specifically viewed your TikTok; however, you can see how often your video has been watched. Watching TikTok without an account means tracing who has considered the content would be more difficult.

How do I see my insights on TikTok?

In 2019 TikTok introduced a pro version for creators to get a deeper insight into their stats. Similar to an Instagram business account, TikTok Creator provides you with a range of stats that you wouldn’t be able to see otherwise. This includes finding out how your videos are performing when you gain the most followers, and what your levels of engagement are like.

Who viewed my profile on TikTok?

Image by Kon Zografos from Pixabay

This used to be a feature on TikTok. However, back in 2020, the social media platform decided to remove this feature. Before this, users would get a notification when their profile was visited and who saw it. TikTok has not confirmed why they decided to remove this feature, but some users have found it inconvenient.

How do you view someone on TikTok without them knowing

TikTok no longer offers analytics to show who viewed your profile. You do still get notified about users watching your profile videos. So if you want to avoid this altogether and stay anonymous, you do this by logging out. If you’re not logged into an account, the user will be unable to know who watched a video.

    Who unfollowed me on TikTok?

Unfortunately, there is no way to find out who unfollowed you on TikTok. If you have a smaller following, it should be pretty easy to work out who is missing. However, if you have many followers, it is pretty much impossible to tell who is no longer following you.

There are 3rd party apps that will advise who is following you (and who unfollows you on TikTok), but you cannot see this directly from TikTok.

Can I make my TikTok profile private so nobody can see it?

Image by Kon Zografos from Pixabay

As you can no longer see who is viewing your profile, this may make you uncomfortable. In this case, it is recommended that you put your profile on private. If you’re unsure of how to do this, follow our easy step by step guide below:

    • Tap the ‘me’ icon in the bottom right-hand corner of the app
    • Next, click the three vertical dots in the upper right-hand corner of the page
    • Choose privacy, and then you should see a toggle next to private account.
    • Toggle on if you’re looking to make your account private.

As your account is then private, users who don’t want to view your content will be unable to do so without following you first. This idea isn’t ideal if you want to go viral or grow your following, as it may put others off.

Are you having issues logging into TikTok? Here’s how to fix them.

How to turn on my TikTok notifications

If you’re wondering how to turn on your TikTok push notifications, here’s how to do this-

    • Tap the me icon in the corner of your screen
    • Followed by the three dots in the righthand corner of your screen

If your TikTok app isn’t working how it should be, it could be an error with your app. Issues such as TikTok being down and outdated apps causing enormous problems for users. Whether you’re getting a cannot play error, a broken following page, or constant app crashing, trying these troubleshooting tips should help fix your TikTok woes.

Be sure to check you are online.

The first step when an app isn’t working is to make sure you’re online. Sometimes, when our network goes down, the app performs differently without directly saying you have no internet. If videos are buffering or the following page isn’t loading, this is a sign that you’re not online.

    Check for updates

If you notice your app isn’t functioning how it usually does, it may have bugs. The way in which the app creators fix bugs is by taking a look at any coding and improving any broken software. When the app team does, they then roll out a new update. Make sure to check your app is up to date. If there isn’t an available update, deleting and reinstalling the app can also prompt the update.

If neither of the above applies, check out the down detector to see if TikTok has any known issues.

What should I see on the TikTok following page?

This page works similar to an Instagram feed, and you should see content from followers you have chosen to follow on TikTok. If you’re looking for content from people you haven’t followed, this will be located on the for you page (FYP). If you’re looking to get lost in hours of content, the for you page is perfect for this. All you need to do is swipe, and you’ll keep getting new content appears.

What is the ‘you’re following too fast’ TikTok error?

This error should only occur when you are following a large number of people in a short space of time. When you partake in this, you will hit a follow limit, where you will be unable to follow any new people.

There isn’t a time limit of how long this block will last, but it depends on whether this error occurs more than once. If you do this accidentally, the error should quickly go away. Users have reported this ban lasting anywhere between 30 minutes and three days. But as there is no time put on this, you have to wait it out. If you can still follow any new creators once the message is gone, we’d recommend deleting the app and reinstalling it or closing the web browser down and reopening it. By shutting down the running program – if an update is required, it will also install that.

TikTok following page – trending creators

If you’re just getting started on TikTok, you haven’t followed anyone yet, and you’re looking for someone to watch. The trending creators page showcases a massive range of celebrities for you to check out when first getting started. This is provided to help new users get to grips with TikTok and how it works while finding their feet. However, if you’re not a new user, this should not appear in place of the following page. When you follow creators, you should see their content instead.

Please note if you are new to TikTok, it may take a short time for the following page to catch up.

Why won’t TikTok refresh my followers page

TikTok not refreshing the followers page is an error that has happened to users for some time now. Unfortunately, this does seem to be an error which is from the TikTok side. However, a Reddit user recommended the following and unfollowing hack. To make those who should be on your following page show up again. However, this isn’t a guaranteed fix, and it’s also worth making sure not to do it to too many accounts in case you end up getting blocked by TikTok for spam.

  • How To Get More Views On TikTok: Secrets For Going Viral

How To Get More Views On TikTok: Secrets For Going Viral

Learning how TikTok works can seem tricky to start with. However, once you get the hang of it, you’ll never want to stop. With ongoing trends, extraordinary features and ounces of content to watch daily, TikTok is a great way to gain followers (and fame).

Whether you’re a newbie to TikTok or you’ve been attempting it for a while but aren’t happy with the views you are getting, we are pleased to help.

Whether you’re looking to gain knowledge about the algorithm, learn about hashtags or trends or work out how to achieve more views, we have the answers for you. So how to get more views on TikTok and what you need to know.

    Understanding the TikTok algorithm

How to get more views on TikTok
Photo by Alexander Shatov on Unsplash

First things first, like most social media sites, understanding the algorithm is key. There are a few things to understand regarding the Tik Tok algorithm. When learning about TikTok, here are some factors to consider:

    • Relevant content does well – if you’re posting relevant content, you’re more likely to be boosted on TikTok.
    • Navigate the for you page – understanding how to create content similar to what you like can be a great benefit.
    • Keeping tabs on the discover section – by using the discover section to look for content you enjoy is a great way to learn about what is popular now and how you can tap into a current trend.

Other main points to consider when trying to crack the algorithm are the times you post and the other being what you post.

    Understanding optimal times to post

Depending on what you upload and who you are trying to attract will vary the time you post. Another thing to consider is where your target audience lives. If you have most of your viewers in another country instead of the UK, posting in different time zones such as EST or PST. Using a scheduling tool is a great way to test out other times to post and find out how successful they are.

    Posting useful content

Posting content that other users will find helpful, can help you to gain more views. If it is put out to the right audience at the right time, your views could skyrocket. If you are a specialist in a field, then this is a great place to start. However, content such as hacks and tips, beauty routines, and advice is popular.

    Use TikTok captions

The transition from another platform such as Facebook or Instagram to TikTok can be confusing, as TikTok is all about the captions. Unlike fellow social platforms, TikTok is all about the video as opposed to long reels of text. As the app is designed to be used on mobile, TikTok advise only to use short captions. Not only is this great for keeping things interesting, but it also allows you to build suspense. E.g. part 1 and 2.

Are you getting a TikTok network error? Here’s how to fix this with ease.

    Get with the trends

TikTok is known for creating trends. Whether the movement is with fashion, involves food, new music or creating dances. If something is successful overnight, it is likely it came from TikTok. Some recent trends which have been hugely successful, not only for TikTokers but also for businesses, include interesting Starbucks drinks from the ‘secret menu’ Churro frappucino being made into a menu item due to TikTok. Bringing back old fashion trends has been a vast hit with the rush in sales as Crocs and Phone Accessories.

TikTokers are known for bringing new and upcoming trends to the table.

Although getting with the trends is important on TikTok, don’t force content that doesn’t fit within your usual style, else this may do the opposite, and your followers may no longer be interested in your content.

Making the most of TikTok music

One of the highest-rated features of TikTok is the accessibility to music. Using sounds and music within the app play a significant part in your content being discovered. If you’re looking to get a boost in views, keep the latest trending music in mind. As this is likely to capture the attention of other TikTokers and ultimately bring you more views.

Adding short bursts of songs to lip-sync or as part of a dance trend is highly popular. The sounds are also great if you are releasing your own music, as you can share snippets of your music for others to hear.

    It’s about who you know.

This is one of those times where it’s about who you know as opposed to what you know. Collaborating with successful TikTokers can be beneficial for growth on the platform. With collaborations to make sure it is helpful to collaborate with those in a similar niche, to allow you to benefit from their followers.

How to get views on TikTok hashtags

Pick a select few categories you fit in with and search for hashtags around that content. Although, make sure you’re not using basic overused hashtags such as #tiktok or #tiktoker or even #viral. When locating which hashtags will work for your content, not all need to be super specific, as using popular hashtags can also help. However, it is also known that using irrelevant hashtags on TikTok can backfire. Always make sure you’re using relevant hashtags in your content.

But making sure they’re not oversaturated before taking the time to use them is critical.

If you’re unsure of what TikTok hashtags to use, Influencer Marketing Hub provides some examples on their post.

    Optimize your Tiktok content page

Optimizing your content page can significantly impact gaining followers, building up your brand, and of course, getting views. When someone clicks on your profile, you’re more likely to get people to stay around if you have a bio and a picture. When optimizing your page, here are some key things to consider:

    • Adding emojis – makes your page more appealing, allows viewers to engage and showcases what you’re all about
    • If you’re looking for more followers or gaining attention elsewhere, be sure to add a call to action in your bio, e.g. check out my shop here.

Make your Tiktok videos visually appealing.

As well as optimizing your content page, it is also worth optimizing your videos. You can create funny, unique, and enjoyable content, but it’s less likely to do well if the video isn’t visually appealing. When making your TikTok videos, ensure your lighting is good, and the scenery matches what you are creating.

    Tiktok strategies for increasing engagement

If you’re unsure where to start when it comes to increasing engagement, here are some of the top ways to increase engagement on TikTok.

    • Engage the user quickly, so they want to stay around
    • If your video is 60 seconds, make sure every second counts
    • Give valuable content
    • Post daily at a specific time
    • Engage with your audience
    • Keep users on the edge of the seats with overlay captions to cause suspense.
    • Share videos across your social media and not just TikTok
    • Use transitions and transformations for cool videos
    • Work on what is trending at the moment. Recreate your own version.

How to get more views on my TikTok live

TikTok live first was introduced in 2019 and is a great way to stream content in real-time, do a Q&A, or create much longer content, as TikTok live can be 60 minutes long! However, you have to be 16 and have 1000 followers to get the TikTok live feature.

Celebrities and influencers are known for doing lives when it comes to apology videos, and it is a way to quickly get a message out there and get instant reactions from fellow TikTokers. But if you’re not a celebrity and are looking to go live on TikTok, what content gets the most views?

    • Storytime videos are still hugely popular across social media. Once a significant hit on YouTube, they’ve now made their way over to TikTok. Stories about celebrities, life experiences and controversial topics always rack up the views.
    • Go live with a co-host – if you’re looking to collaborate with another TikToker, you can do so on a live no matter where you are in the world.
    • Cooking videos on TikTok live can be highly successful.

How to go viral on TikTok

Unfortunately, there isn’t a foolproof guide to going viral on TikTok, but you can judge specific criteria based on previous viral content. Viewing viral videos that have captured a lot of attention is a great way to understand what makes a viral post. Using the discover section/for you page to understand what is popular and turn popular trends into your viral video.

But it has been noted that creating a challenge on TikTok offers a higher possibility of going viral. Encouraging others to participate is a great way to spread your trend. Creating your own hashtag for your challenge, will lead other users to your content or even back to your page.

Whether you’re a TikTok newbie or a long time creator, we hope this post has provided you with some helpful insight on how to get more views on TikTok.
