    Telegram error this group can’t be displayed

    If you try and open a group on your Telegram app, you may encounter the error; ‘This channel can’t be displayed’. This message will occur when you try and access a group that contains sensitive content. Because Telegram aims to be a secure messaging app, safer than WhatsApp, it will block any channel that deems to be a detriment to its users.

    The type of content that will not be available in a Telegram channel is anything that promotes violence, hatred or sexual media.

    With its enhanced privacy and safety configuration, Telegram has strict rules that users need to adhere to. If there is a group or channel that violates these rules, the app will ban or restrict it, whether it’s a public or private one.

    Another reason why a Telegram group can’t be displayed is if its content is copyrighted, and has been shared illegally.

    Why is my Telegram restricted?

    Telegram error this group can't be displayed
    Telegram error this group can’t be displayed

    A further reason why you may experience the Telegram error; ‘This group can’t be displayed’ is because the service has put a restriction on certain chats on your profile due to the country in which you try to access the group from. A restriction can come either from Telegram’s server, or, from the messaging platform.

    The countries which have a block on Telegram are;

    • Bahrain
    • Belarus
    • Brazil
    • China
    • Cuba
    • Germany
    • Hong Kong
    • India
    • Indonesia
    • Iran
    • Pakistan
    • Russia
    • Thailand

    (Did you know; Telegram allows users to delete messages that their recipient has sent. This means, you can erase a whole a conversation without having to leave behind texts that you did not send).

    If the restriction has come from Telegram’s server, you may be unable to bypass the configuration, however, there are certain steps you can take to help fix your groups from not being available.

    Keep in mind, if Telegram’s database is unavailable, it may interfere with how well your app functions, and limit certain features such as access to channels.

This will stop your Telegram app from filtering out sensitive content when you try and access a certain channel.

    All blocked groups should now be available, however, they will still be unavailable when you make use of the Telegram app on your mobile or tablet.

    If you cannot download the instant messaging service as a desktop version, you can make use of the following methods to help regain access to your groups;

    1. Use Nicegram bot

    To view content in a channel that Telegram blocks, you can use the ‘Nicegram’ bot within the app to update your settings

    Step 1. Search for Nicegram Bot and click on the username ‘@nicegram_bot’

    Step 2. Once chat loads up, click on ‘Start’

    Step 3. Press ‘I’m 18+ years old’ and then ‘Show Sensitive Content’

    Once you have made these changes, reinstall Telegram onto your mobile and attempt to reopen the group.

    2. Download a VPN

    If your Telegram groups are unavailable due to a restriction on your profile, you can make use of a VPN.

    Download a VPN and set your location to a country where Telegram channels have full access. To ensure the VPN will work, enable the application for a couple of hours so the app will register your new IP address.

    3. Use a different device

    For some reason, certain channels on Telegram are unavailable due to the device in which you connect your profile on.

    If you receive the Telegram error; ‘This group can’t be displayed’ through your web browser, try and access the channel on your mobile.

    Alternatively, you can swap from an iOS to Android device (and vice versa).

    Telegram won’t update messages if your instant messaging app is not current on the latest available version. Outdated software will cause the service to incur performance related issues. Telegram will roll out continuous upgrades on their app to ensure you do not not experience a delay in receiving messages.

    A further reason why you will experience errors with group displays or receiving notifications, is if your Telegram app cannot connect to a strong, stable network connection.

  • Hulu Streaming Problems: How To Fix Your Online Video App

    Hulu Streaming Problems: How To Fix Your Online Video App

    If you experience Hulu streaming problems when you try and watch a program or movie, this could be because your internet connection is not strong enough to play a video on your current resolution setting.

    Besides a poor network, an outdated Hulu app can be the cause for playback errors such as buffering and constant skipping.

    You can uninstall and reinstall the app to help get rid of corrupt files, or simply restart your device to help fix Hulu from not working.

    We have created this simple guide to help you understand what the Hulu streaming problems are, and how you can rectify the issue. We will also delve into what causes the errors, so you can prevent any further problems in the future.

    Does Hulu have streaming issues?

    Hulu streaming problems
    Couple watching TV

    Because Hulu is an online video streaming service, it’s natural for the app to incur playback errors. These type of problems will affect the quality of your display, and the performance of the app when you attempt to watch a program or movie on your device. A Hulu streaming problem will either prevent a successful launch, or interfere with its processes when its already open.

    There are a few different streaming issues that Hulu can experience.

    What are the Hulu streaming problems?

    Hulu will not work when you try and use the app in the form of;

    • Constant buffering
    • Freezing
    • Connection error
    • Low video quality
    • Frequent skipping
    • Hulu out of sync

    Fortunately, you are able to troubleshoot the Hulu streaming problems once you know the reasons behind why these errors occur.

    What causes Hulu streaming problems?

    Hulu streaming problems
    Hulu streaming problems

    The main cause for Hulu to experience a playback error is a poor network connection. If your network service provider experiences issues, it will interfere with the app being able to connect to the Hulu server. This problem can be intermittent, or be consistent.

    A network error will sometimes be associated with your internet connection. If the Wifi that your device connects to is unstable, this will cause Hulu to have streaming problems.

    Other causes for playback errors include;

    1. Low bandwidth

    For a standard quality stream, Hulu requires a bandwidth speed of at least 6Mbps to play a video without any issues.

    Because the app relies solely on adequate bandwidth, if your internet is unable to provide this, your videos will begin buffer or glitch.

    2. Hulu server is down

    At times, the Hulu server will go down due to planned maintenance, or if there’s been an unexpected outage.

    When this occurs, the Hulu database will be unavailable. This will either stop the app from being able to work at all, or interfere with the performance of video streams.

    3. Outdated software

    If your app is outdated, this can cause streaming problems. Hulu will always update their app to improve its performance, and get rid of corrupt software that interferes with how well it playbacks videos.

    Additional to this, if your device’s firmware is overdue for an upgrade, this can also cause Hulu to stop working.

    4. Faulty cache files

    Every time you launch Hulu on your device, cache files will download. These files are used to help quicken load times, and improve how well the app works.

    However, over time, the cache will become too full, or contain corrupt data that will stop Hulu from streaming without any errors.

    How to fix Hulu streaming issues

    Hulu streaming problems
    Hulu streaming problems

    Complete a power restart on your Wifi router to help fix Hulu from having a streaming issue. This will refresh your network, and internet connection. To do this, simply turn your modem off and unplug it. After a couple of minutes of standing idle, reconnect your router and switch it back on.

    Once your internet is back online, restart Hulu and attempt to stream content.

    Note, to ensure your network supplies you with enough bandwidth, complete a speed test. If you want to stream videos with a 4K quality, you’ll need at least 16Mbps.

    Other methods that will help stop the Hulu streaming problems are;

    1. Check Hulu server

    Check to see if the Hulu server is down. If it is, you won’t be able to fix the issue, however, you will be able to keep up to date with its status.

    2. Update software

    Check to see that Hulu is up to date with its software. To complete an update, access your app store and find Hulu.

    If there’s an ‘Update’ option that you click on, do so to download the app onto your device.

    Once the download is complete, complete a restart. Make sure you also confirm your device’s firmware is not out of date.

    You should find this in the general settings section.

    3. Clear cache files

    If you access Hulu through your browser, you’ll need to clear your browser’s cache in order to get rid of the files from Hulu.

    If you use Chrome;

    Enter ‘chrome://settings/clearBrowserData’ in your search bar > Press ‘Clear Data’

    The cache files from Hulu on an Android device can be erased through the ‘Application Manager’ option.

    A few quick fixes that have been known to resolve the Hulu streaming issues are;

    • Restart device
    • Uninstall and reinstall Hulu
    • Change your image resolution setting

    (Did you know; Hulu is only available in America and Japan. It cannot expand globally because of its rights agreement. This prevented Yahoo from being able to buy the service back in 2011).

    Hulu freezing on smart TV

    Hulu streaming problems

    If Hulu keeps freezing on your smart TV, this could be because the firmware on your device is out of date, or contains corrupt software. Your TV will automatically complete an update, however, this can sometimes get interrupted due to a system glitch, or a sporadic network connection.

    To stop the Hulu app from having issues on your smart TV, you can complete a power cycle. This will involve turning your smart device off and removing it from its main plug point.

    If this does not work, you can check if a system update needs to be completed. You can find this in the settings section of your TV.

    Conclusion

    We hope this easy to follow guide has provided you with enough knowledge to be able to fix your Hulu app from experiencing streaming issues.

    If you’ve tried all four solutions and the playback errors persist, there could be a hardware error with your Wifi router, or, your Hulu app is problematic.

    Check out the Hulu Community for assistance. Alternatively, you can email Hulu directly at support@hulu.com.

    Your Shudder app will not work if it’s not connected to a strong network connection. An unstable internet will cause the online video service to have issues in many different forms. You may experience Shudder to have a Black screen, login issues or audio and/or display problems. The app requires a download speed of at least 6Mbps in order to stream content successfully without incurring performance errors such as buffering.

    Besides a slow internet connection being a reason for your Shudder app to not work, there are additional causes that will interfere with your streaming. These include;

    1. Outdated Shudder app

    Shudder will continuously perform updates on their app to improve its performance and quality. If you make use of an outdated version, this can be the reason why your app won’t work.

    The request from your device to access the Shudder server may be incompatible due to the change in software after an update has taken place on the database.

    2. Faulty browser cache files

    When you access Shudder through your browser, cache files will download onto your device. This is to improve loading times when you launch the program.

    Over time, these files will become too full or corrupt which will hinder the Shudder app from working properly.

    3. Problematic Shudder app

    Your Shudder app could be corrupt with damaged software which is on your device. This will prevent your app from loading properly or streaming videos without any issues.

    How to fix Shudder app not working

A lagging issue will occur when your device cannot download the necessary amount of data needed to playback a video in the necessary amount of time. A latency problem will occur between your device and the Shudder app. If your network does not provide adequate bandwidth speeds, your video will start to freeze.

    If you are unable to improve your internet speeds, you can help fix Shudder from being so laggy by changing your resolution settings to a lower quality.

    (Did you know; Shudder is not available for offline viewing. Unlike Netflix, you cannot download a movie or show to watch. You will only be able to stream while online).

    Current Profile Xbox Live: How To Fix Your Online Access

    Do you experience a current profile Xbox Live error when you try and play an online game from your account?

    The error message will be displayed as; ‘current profile is not allowed on Xbox Live’ and can be caused by an expired Xbox Live Gold account.

    As of April 2021, Microsoft removed the requirement to have an active Gold subscription to be able to have access to online games, however, if there is a system error with the Microsoft database, this error can mistakenly occur.

    Re-activating your Gold subscription, or restoring your Xbox account will help eradicate the online issue on your console.

    We have created this easy to follow guide to help you understand what the current profile Xbox Live error means, and how you can fix it, so you can get back to playing Black Ops online.

    Why does it say the current profile is not allowed on Xbox Live?

    Current profile Xbox Live
    Microsoft game console

    You will experience the current profile Xbox Live error when you try to play an online multiplayer game without an Xbox Live Gold account. Because it’s no longer a requirement to have an active Xbox Live Gold subscription to play online, this can be caused by a system glitch. This issue can occur on many different games, however, Black Ops 2 and Warzone have been known to display this error message.

    If you don’t have an Xbox Live Gold account, and you try to play a free game that is only available to a player with an active subscription, the error message will appear on your screen.

    (Did you know; In January 2020, Microsoft announced that they plan to be carbon negative by 2030. This means the company aims to emit below zero carbon dioxide).

    3. Refresh network

    To help fix any network issues, you can first turn your Xbox console off and on again. Before you switch it back on, restart your Wifi router.

    In this guide, you will learn all the possible reasons why Netflix may have no sound, as well as five easy solutions you will be able to action on your device, so you can get back to streaming with the display and audio together.

    Why does my Netflix have no sound?

    Netflix no sound

    Netflix will have no sound when you play a video if there is a connection problem with your external speaker system. If you do not use the internal audio on your device, issues will arise with your sound if an additional speaker has a faulty connection. This could be from the cable or the port in which you connect the device to your TV with. The speaker itself may also be broken, which is why no audio will play through.

    The other main reasons why there will be no sound on Netflix include;

    1. Content error

    Netflix may upload a movie or series that has a problem with its format. When this happens, the video will stream with playback issues.

    The content error can be a cause from faulty software, or the video is missing certain files.

    3. Outdated audio driver

    When you make use of Netflix on your PC, the audio driver can interfere with the quality of the sound that the online video app will produce.

    It may be due an update, or, contain faulty files that will hinder the apps streaming performance.

If you make use of an additional speaker, and not the internal one, you will need to ensure that it connects properly to your smart TV. There could be a fault with the cable, or the port that’s on your device. You can make sure these work by using a different port, and testing the cable with a different device.

    If you do not make use of an external speaker, you can make use of the following alternative solutions;

    1. Check other content

    You could be trying to stream a specific video on Netflix that is problematic. If the file on the apps database contains faulty files, or it is corrupt, it will not play properly.

    Sometimes, Netflix will upload a movie or series that has an internal error. Attempt to play a different video and see if there is sound.

    If there is, you will know the issue is with the video, and not your app or device.

    2. Check audio settings

    First make sure the input and output audio settings are correct. If you use a speaker, ensure the sound has been set to play through it and not the built-in speaker of your device.

    Check that the volume is not set too low, or on mute.

    From the Netflix app, you may need to change the audio configuration from 5.1. To do this;

    Play the video > Press the Message Box’ picture > If the audio is set on 5.1 change it to a different option

    Allow the content to play, and see if Netflix still has no sound.

    For Netflix on your PC, you may need to update the audio driver.

    Open Device Manager > Select the drop down on Audio inputs and Outputs > Right-click on Speaker > Press Update driver

    Allow your computer to complete the download. If you would like to have this step completed for you, you can download a third party program onto your PC.

    Driver Easy is a good option to go for if you’re unsure of which application to use.

    4. Reinstall Netflix app

    If the Netflix app is the problem for the no sound issue, you will need delete it off of your device, and reinstall it.

    Tip, before you download the app, restart your device to erase any faulty files still saved.

    Netflix no sound

    Netflix won’t have sound on a smart TV if you make use of an assistive listening device that has been set to the incorrect audio output configuration. This will include if you use a headset to help the clarity of the sound from Netflix’s videos. To fix this setting, you will need to change the audio output to either ‘Stereo’ or ‘Linear PCM’. If you do not know how to change the settings on your device, you may need to contact the manufacturer directly, or make use of an instruction manual.

    Additional reason why Netflix won’t work on your smart TV include;

    • Faulty or damaged HDMI cable
    • Soundbar not connected properly
    • Incorrect audio settings

    You will need to check your HDMI and any other cables that need to connect to your smart TV. If they are faulty or broken, replace them with a new or existing one.

    Make sure the audio settings on your TV are correct. If you use a soundbar, ensure the input setting is set to the speaker.

    Netflix 5 1 audio not working

    Couple watching Netflix
    Netflix no sound

    The Netflix audio 5.1 setting will not work if your internet connection speed is less than 3.0Mbps. This sound configuration will only work on a Wifi network that supplies fast enough bandwidth. You are able to check your internet speed to ensure you Wifi is adequate for Netflix to stream content with a 5 1 audio.

    The second requirement for the Netflix 5.1 audio setting is a receiver that can support Dolby Digital Plus. If these two settings cannot be met, Netflix will have no sound on the 5.1 setting.

    However, if your device connects to a stable Wifi network, and it support the Dolby, you can execute the following solutions to enable the 5.1 Netflix audio setting;

    • Check speaker connections
    • Make sure your device supports 5.1 audio (Microsoft Silverlight and HTML 5 won’t work)
    • Is the Netflix 5.1 audio setting enabled?
    • Check the Netflix title supports 5 1

    Note, downloaded videos from Netflix will not work on 5.1 audio. You will need to delete the download, and watch the movie or series while your device connects to the internet.

  • Shudder Keeps Buffering: How To Fix Your Stream In 5 Steps

    Shudder Keeps Buffering: How To Fix Your Stream In 5 Steps

    If Shudder keeps buffering when you try and stream a movie, there may be too many devices that are connected to the same Wifi network.

    Shudder requires a minimum download speed of 20Mbps in order to play content without any lagging or latency issues. If your internet connection has a weak signal, this will interfere with the performance of the app.

    If you access the online video app through your browser, an active adblocker can cause a failed video. A quick power reset on your router, or a redownload of the Shudder app can help rectify this playback issue.

    We have generated this easy to follow directory to help you understand why Shudder keeps buffering, and to guide you through five easy methods that you will be able to execute on your device to resolve this error, so you can get back to streaming all your favorite thrill-seeking movies.

    Why does Shudder keep buffering?

    Shudder Keeps Buffering
    Shudder Keeps Buffering

    Shudder will keep buffering if you have multiple different devices that connect to the same network that you use to access the Shudder app on. If your internet connection is overcrowded, Shudder may not receive an adequate amount of bandwidth to stream a movie. This will cause latency issues on the online video app. How bad the latency is will depend largely on what activity the other devices are doing.

    If other devices in your household are in use to stream online, or play video games, this will increase the playback issues you experience on Shudder due to the high level of bandwidth that they will need to process the activities.

    Shudder recommend a minimum download speed of 20Mbps. If your Wifi cannot obtain this, Shudder will keep buffering.

    (Did you know; Shudder was first launched in 2015. By September 2020, it had acquired over one million paid subscribers).

    Other reasons why Shudder will fail to play a video include;

    1. Apps running in the background

    If you have active apps running in the background on the device you use to launch Shudder on, these will interfere with the quality of your online video.

    2. Enabled browser extension

    Specifically with adblockers, if you have a browser extension that is active on your device, it may cause Shudder to keep buffering. These programs will sometimes interfere with the online video app’s access to the internet.

    3. Wifi router is too far

    The further away your Wifi router is from where you launch Shudder, the weaker your signal will be. A poor internet connection will stop your app from being able to download the necessary amount of data to stream without pausing, or lagging.

    The majority of the time, a modem will be set at default to a 2,4Ghz frequency band. This is so the Wifi signal can reach further places, however, it will be slower than a 5Ghz frequency.

    4. Faulty Shudder app

    The Shudder app on your device may contain faulty files that will cause problems when you want to stream. Corrupt software will hinder the apps video quality and performance.

    How to fix shudder from buffering

    Shudder keeps buffering
    Shudder keeps buffering

    Disconnect any other devices that are active on your Wifi network. If they were in use for online streaming or playing games online, exit out of these applications. This will ensure your internet speed does not get throttled and can be used completely for the Shudder app. Make sure the other device do not have apps in the background that will require bandwidth. Once you disconnect them, restart the device you use to launch Shudder on.

    Check your internet speed to ensure the app receives at least 20Mbps to be able to function properly. To help refresh your network connection, power restart your router so it can re-establish a connection with your network service provider.

    Tip, before you plug your modem back in, leave it off for a couple of minutes.

    If you do not have any other devices that connect to your Wifi router, you can help fix Shudder from loading with one of the following solutions;

    1. Close apps in the background

    Make sure you exit out of any other applications that may be active on your device when you open Shudder. To ensure there are no open files on your device, once you close any other programs, restart your device before you play a movie off of Shudder.

    2. Disable browser extensions

    Disable any browser extensions that you have active while you access Shudder. You can pause the programs, and re-enable them after you’ve stopped watching Shudder.

    Once you turn your adblocker off, exit out of the app and re-login. This will refresh the connection.

    3. Decrease distance between Wifi router

    Whether you reposition your Wifi router or move closer to it, if you decrease the distance between your Shudder app and your modem, it can help with the connection on your device.

    If you can, once the distance has become smaller, change the frequency band on your router from 2.4Ghz to 5Ghz. This will supply a faster signal for your device to connect to, and stream Shudder on.

    4.Reinstall Shudder app

    Delete the Shudder app off of your device and reinstall it. This will erase any corrupt files that may be interfering with the apps performance and help fix Shudder from buffering.

    Before you download the app again, turn your device off and on.

    Shudder keeps buffering

    The Shudder app can sometimes incur the error ‘Failed to Play Video’ when you try and stream a video. This playback issue will arise if Shudder upload a video that has the incorrect format, or, contains faulty software that will prevent your device from being able to stream the content. Previous Shudder account holders have advised that this error only occurred through the app, and not via their browser.

    A secondary cause for the Shudder failed to play video error to occur is if your smart TV has a build up of cache files and data. Cache files will always download onto your device every time you launch the app.

    This is to improve the performance and quicken loading times. However, over time, this data can become congested, and be a catalyst for playback issues.

    To clear the cache files on your smart TV, simply go; Settings > Applications > Manage Installed Applications > Shudder > Clear Cache > Clear Data > Uninstall Actions.

    Once the cache is clear, uninstall the Shudder app and reinstall it. Once you log back into your profile, you should be able to play videos without any further playback issues.

    If you have an active subscription with Shudder directly, you will only have access to stream on one active device at any given time. You will only be able to create one main account to view their library. It’s also important to note that the Shudder app does not currently have the option to download movies to watch while you’re offline. You will need to stay connected to a stable internet connection with at least a 20Mbps download speed.

    Although an active profile direct on the Shudder app will limit you to only one stream, you can subscribe for a Shudder account through a third-party program which will give you the availability to have more than one stream.

    Shudder as an Amazon Prime Video Channel, or a YouTube add-on will give you the option to stream on three different devices, as well as create six different profiles as opposed to only one on Shudder direct.
