Why can’t I hear the music in GTA 5?

  1. You may not be hearing the music in your GTA V game because you have corrupted data stored in your game files.
  2. The platform you are accessing Grand  Theft Auto on needs to correlate with your sound settings on the game, for example, if you have your settings set on ‘surround sound’ but you only have one speaker connected, certain audios will be missing because the music will be set to come through more than one channel.
  3. If your sounds drivers are malfunctioning, this will also interfere with your GTA 5 being able to play sounds.
  4. Mute has been selected on your audio settings
  5. Speakers are broken on your device
  6. If you are using headphones, they may be plugged into the incorrect jack
