Fix 1. Make sure you are logged in as an admin

Users have reported that they’ve had issues downloading the software correctly when they aren’t the admin of the computer. By signing in to the admin profile, you can use the administrator access privileges to make sure PowerDirector is downloaded correctly. When not signed in as the admin, other users won’t have the same access as the admin account.

Fix 2. Remove Unicode Characters

The installation of the product may also encounter issues if your account Windows administrator user contains Unicode or double-byte characters such as Chinese and Japanese characters. Therefore CyberLink recommends creating a whole new user with only English characters and then trying to redownload the software again.

Fix 3. Use a lower resolution

Uninstalling PowerDirector

  1. Close down any tabs running PowerDirector programs
